OUR TRAINING COURSES
The purpose of the Responder 1 class is to train the individual on basic trauma medicine tactics.
The Mindset of the Responder, Working the entirety of the MARCH-E Algorithm, How to Recognize and Treat Arterial Bleeding, Demonstration and Comparison of various types of Tourniquets, Proper Staging and Application of Tourniquets, Proper Wound Packing using Compressed Gauze, Proper Wound Packing using Hemostatic Impregnated Gauze (Combat Gauze), Proper Wound Packing using Emergency Trauma Dressing (ETD), Casualty Body Temp Management (Hypothermia), How to Recognize and Treat a Tension Pneumothorax (Sucking Chest Wound), How to properly administer a Nasopharyngeal Airway, Treating injuries to the Head and Eyes.
The purpose of Responder II is to be a comprehensive Good Samaritan class that contains the knowledge necessary for immediate responders to address the most common injuries and scenarios they may face.
This is achieved with a combination of our 4-hour Responder I curriculum; followed by our 4-hour CPR/AED curriculum to cover the entirety of Good Samaritan protected immediate medical responses
The purpose of Responder III is to take what was learned in Responder I or the first half of Responder II and go even deeper into Tactical Medical Care (TacMed). There is a greater focus on the Mindset of the immediate responder, the Methodology of care under fire, and the Medicine of bleeding control, shock prevention, and casualty evacuation. This is accomplished through not only class instruction but also simulated, and force on force, high stress scenarios.
